Job summary

Buzzworks Business Services is recruiting for a client, a leading manufacturing MNC, for the role of Sr. Engineer - Welding fixture/Tooling in Chennai. The position requires hands-on design experience with jigs, fixtures and production tooling, with 3–8 years of relevant work.

The candidate should be proficient in 3D CAD (3D modeling), AutoCAD and CATIA, with strong GD&T knowledge and exposure to BIW welding fixtures, positioners, heavy-part tooling. Face-to-face interviews only.

Qualifications

• 3D concept design and 2D detailing for BIW welding fixtures, checking fixtures, positioners for heavy parts for automotive panels, railways coach parts; experience may be desired.
• Experience in design and development of jigs & fixtures/production tooling/SPMs.
• Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint; good written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Specific experience in design and development of JIGS & FIXTURES/PRODUCTION TOOLING/SPMs.
• Good knowledge in GD&T.
• Good knowledge in Industrial Engineering concepts.
• Hands on experience in 3D CAD models.
• Hands on shop floor fixture manufacturing experience.
• Proficient in AUTOCAD, CATIA software.
• Initial Proposal & Concept preparation, Design, manufacturing.
• Proving & presentation to Client.
• Supplier follow-up & Project completion on Cost/Time.
