Job description

Design and development welding fixtures/SPMs to support the manufacturing process. Work closely within teams to ensure fixture designs meet the required specifications and standards, contributing to improved safety, efficiency, and product quality in welding operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop welding fixtures/SPM design.
• Create 3D concept models using CAD software.
• Create 2D drawings using CAD software.
• Static check for weld access & weld gun feasibility.
• Provide data to simulations for validate and tests to ensure fixture performance and durability.
• Revise and optimize designs based on customer / CFT team feedback / Tryout feedback.
• Collaborate with production engineers and quality teams to understand requirements and constraints.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, ergonomics and safety regulations.
• Maintain all documentation for above activities & for designs, revisions, and project progress.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor of Engineering (Mech, Production, Automobile)
• Experience: 3-5 Years, experience in welding fixture design or a similar role
• Proficiency in CAD software- Catia
• Certifications: CAD software, professional achievements as applicable.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
