Parna Hr Consultants in Bengaluru, India, seeks a Design Engineer to develop jigs, fixtures and material handling systems from concept to final design. You will regularly engage Opco stakeholders to understand manufacturing requirements and participate in design reviews for approvals.
The role requires strong CAD skills (SolidWorks, CREO, Windchill) and experience creating manufacturing drawings with GD&T and welding symbols. Lean methods and data analysis are valued.
Design Jigs& Fixtures, Material handling systems from concept stage to final design. Regular connect with Opco's stakeholder to understand manufacturing process requirement. Participate in Design reviews and getting approval from Opco key stakeholders. Generate and publish project status on weekly basis. Supplier management to get work done on timely basis inline customer quality requirement. Ensure First time right and on time project delivery. Team work and colloboration with other internal department. Guide and support junior team member to improve overall quality and efficiency. Participate and generate innovative ideas, continuous improvement in regular work and support for standardization of fixture / material handling design process. Flexible to work in shifts based on requirement from stakeholder.
Jigs, fixtures and Equipments Design & Development : Good understanding of tool (Jigs & Fixtures for welded assemblies / other equipment trolley, tackle, quality gauges, Material handling systems etc) design principles and their impact on manufacturing, EHS & Quality, including good experience of CAD Software (Solid Works, PDM windchill, CREO etc). Manufacturing Drawings: Experience in creating manufacturing drawing for Jigs and Fixtures using CAD software listed above with GD&T and Welding symbols. Understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, materials, and quality control principles is crucial. This includes experience in fabrication, assembly, task sequence, time study, process and plant layouts. Knowledge of Machining process. Process Improvement Methods : Proficiency in methodologies like Lean Manufacturing, VSM, Six Sigma, Kiazen, Lean Time Study etc. Data Analysis and Problem-Solving: Ability to interpret data / customer requirement from various sources like production issues, FEA reports and solve manufacturing problems. Experience in Order Entry through PDM Windchill CAD Skill Must have skills: Solid Works, CREO , Windchill, Boivin, Additional skills (good to have): FEA tools: CREO Simulate, SOLID Works Simulation, ANSYS will have additional advantage. Other skills Communication and Interpersonal Skills : - Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
