Job summary

Aker Solutions in Mumbai seeks a senior Data Scientist/ML Engineer to develop and deploy advanced ML models for predictive maintenance, process optimization, and asset monitoring across industrial systems.

You will work with large-scale data, collaborate with engineers and stakeholders, implement robust data pipelines, and monitor models in production using MLOps practices on Azure, Databricks, Spark, and Kubernetes. Eight+ years of relevant experience required.

Qualifications

• Masters or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 8+ years of professional experience as a Data Scientist, ML Engineer, or similar role.
• Strong professional experience in deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Proven experience in building machine learning models for production.
• Strong knowledge of supervised/unsupervised learning, time-series, anomaly detection, optimization, statistics.
• Experience with industrial, manufacturing, energy, logistics, process, or IoT data.
• Proficiency in Python (Pandas, Scikit-learn, NumPy), SQL, and data visualization.
• Understanding of MLOps: deployment, monitoring, versioning, reproducibility.
• Experience with predictive maintenance, digital twins, process control, industrial automation, or sensor analytics.
• Experience with Azure cloud platform.
• Experience with Databricks, Spark, Kubernetes, MLflow, Airflow, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of edge deployment or real-time ML systems.
• Strong communication across technical and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Communicate model insights, assumptions, limitations, and business impact clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

We Think You Should Have
