Job summary

Aker Solutions is seeking a Senior Site Engineer (Civil) to supervise field construction in oil & gas projects, coordinate with contractors, and ensure quality, safety, and timely delivery. You will support the Lead Engineer and Construction Manager, review drawings, manage materials, and witness tests at site.

Ideal candidates hold a BE Civil with 10+ years in oil & gas, with brownfield exp. EPCM exposure to major players preferred.

Qualifications

• BE Civil with 10+ years of experience in oil and gas.
• Brownfield work experience is must.
• Experience in EPCM companies like Technip, Toyo, Udhe, Worli, Mott or EPC companies like Saipem, TR, L&T, Tata is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise construction work and coordinate with Contractor, Site Engineer supports Lead Engineer and Construction Manager.
• Ensure QA, safety, and documentation are maintained; review test certificates and issue/control materials.
• Monitor field operations, interpret drawings, perform stage-wise inspections, and witness tests.
• Assist in billing, measure completed work, and ensure non-conformities are addressed.

What will you be doing?

Supervision of construction work being executed by Contractor.Site Engineer are responsible for the day-to-day co-ordination, supervision and field administration.The Site Engineers support the Lead Engineer and Construction Manager in the areas of project controls, safety, quality, materials and administration.Visual inspection of materials received at site and advising material controller on his observations.Check and authorize materials being issued by to contractor as free issue based on review of test certificates / documents.Resolve day to day issues faced on technical matters.Ensure all safety practices are followed by contractor in line with approved method statement, JSA and work permit.Ensure all necessary documents are properly maintained by contractor during the execution of the work and are handed over after completion of the job.Ensure that the latest revision of IFC drawings is used during inspection / monitoring of the progress of work.Highlight the field problems, non- conformity, deviations etc. using STQ.Prepare punch list and ensure that all points are attended by Contractor.Stage wise inspections, witness test at site as per QA PlansQuality Engineer to qualify the welders as per job requirement.Witness material testing if conducted at site.Witness test related to civil work, supervision and surveillance of quality aspect of the civil work.Check and certify measurement of job completed and assist Lead / Billing Engineer in bill certification.Monitoring of quality activities at siteMonitoring and approval of all quality control documents being maintained by Contractors.Interpretation of radiography reports and review of other NDT test reportsEnsure calibration of test instruments done at siteSupport during Pre-commissioning and commissioning stage of various systems.

We think you should have:

BE Civil with 10 + yrs. of experience in oil and gas

Brownfield Work experience is must

Experience in EPCM Companies like Technip, Toyo, Udhe, Worli, Mott or EPC companies like Saipem, TR, L&T, Tata etc. is desirable
