Job summary

GE HealthCare is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to perform on-site maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of Cath Lab and Nuclear Medicine equipment at customer sites. The role involves managing life-extension and commissioning activities for installed fleets, with decisions guided by technical expertise and safety standards.

The candidate should bring substantial experience in field services and a strong customer-facing acumen, enabling effective interface between the customer

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma with relevant experience in services.
• 7+ years of work experience in the Services & Field Services.
• Experience on Cath Lab or Nuclear Medicine equipment.

Responsibilities

• On-site maintenance, repairs, and inspections of Cath Lab or Nuclear Medicine equipment.
• Lead field service activities for installed fleets and commissioning of new/existing equipment.
• Make engineering decisions and provide technical guidance on site.
• Develop strong customer relationships and serve as the interface between customer and GE.

These activities contribute to, maintain, repair and refurbish sold or existing products. Includes all types of maintenance service (preventive and remedial), manage maintenance facilities and field services engineering. Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Executes standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines. There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Degreed engineers. experience on Cath Lab Or Nuclear Medicine Equipment, All on site life extensions, repairs and inspection-related service activities for installed fleets and supervision for construction and commissioning of new and existing equipment, able to be performed at customer site. Includes onsite machining, NDT, blading, winding, critical welding, generator diagnostics. Able to make Engineering decisions.
• Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy. May include support roles with specialized technical field of knowledge; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.
• Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
• May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
• A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills and may be required to lead a junior team. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Explains technical information to others.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience) with 7+ years of wrok experience in the Services & Field Services.
