The Senior Clinical Perfusionist manages and performs extracorporeal circulation and related perfusion services during cardiac and other approved surgical procedures requiring cardiopulmonary support. The involves preparing and operating heart-lung machines and associated equipment, monitoring physiological parameters during procedures, coordinating with cardiac surgeons and anesthesiologists, and ensuring equipment readiness. The Senior Clinical Perfusionist also supports quality assurance, team guidance, documentation, and adherence to patient safety protocols.

• Assess perfusion requirements in coordination with the cardiac surgical team.
• Prepare and check cardiopulmonary bypass equipment before procedures.
• Set up and verify heart-lung machines and associated circuits.
• Operate extracorporeal circulation equipment within professional authorization.
• Monitor relevant physiological and perfusion parameters during procedures.
• Coordinate closely with cardiac surgeons and anesthesiologists.
• Support safe initiation, maintenance, and termination of cardiopulmonary bypass.
