Job Description

The Critical Care Nurse – ICU provides specialized nursing care to critically ill patients requiring continuous monitoring and advanced clinical support. The involves assessing patient conditions, administering prescribed medications, monitoring vital signs, assisting with emergency interventions, and coordinating with intensivists and multidisciplinary healthcare teams. The nurse ensures patient safety, maintains accurate clinical records, and follows infection control protocols and critical care standards.

• Assess critically ill patients and identify immediate nursing care needs.
• Continuously monitor vital signs and neurological status.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, oxygen saturation, and other relevant clinical parameters.
• Administer prescribed medications, intravenous fluids, and treatments.
• Monitor patients receiving oxygen therapy and ventilatory support within the scope of practice.
• Assist physicians during bedside procedures and emergency interventions.
• Recognize deterioration in patient condition and elevate concerns promptly.
• Assist with resuscitation procedures as trained and authorized.
• Maintain accurate nursing notes, medication records, and patient charts.
