Qualifications

We, at LA FREIGHT LIFT Pvt Ltd are looking for a Business Development Executive in International Freight Forwarding to drive revenue growth by acquiring new import/export clients, selling air/ocean freight services, and managing B2B logistics accounts.

Professionals in this role would be a bridge between our clients shipping needs with optimal operational routing and pricing strategies.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead Generation: Prospect and acquire new corporate shippers, manufacturers, and traders via cold calling, networking, and field visits.
• Rate Negotiation: Coordinate with pricing and operations teams to quote competitive air and ocean freight rates while protecting profit margins.
• Account Management: Maintain long-term relationships with active accounts and handle recurring shipping volumes.
• Market Analysis: Monitor competitor pricing, trade lane capacities, and shifting global Air & Shipping trends.

Preferred candidate profile

Key Skills Required;

• Large scale operations: Candidate working with International Freight Forwarders preferred with a minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience operating out of Chennai.
• Industry Knowledge: Understanding of FCL/LCL ocean freight, air cargo operations, Incoterms, and basic customs compliance.
• Sales Acumen: Strong B2B negotiation, presentation, and pipeline management abilities.
• Communication: Effective cross-functional coordination with internal operations, documentation, and overseas agent networks.
• Software Literacy: Familiarity with CRM platforms and MS Office suite for tracking sales metrics & responsibilities.
