Job summary

Persistent Systems Limited is seeking an experienced Senior Azure Infrastructure Architect to lead cloud architecture governance and enterprise cloud transformation. You will drive Azure infrastructure design, implement Landing Zones per CAF, and ensure security, compliance, and scalable networking across the enterprise.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, guide delivery teams through migrations, and promote DevOps/IaC excellence while aligning with business goals and customer standards.

Qualifications

• 12–15 years of experience in Infrastructure/Cloud Architecture
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure Infrastructure and Cloud Architecture
• Experience designing Azure Landing Zones and enterprise-scale cloud platforms
• Deep knowledge of Azure Networking Services (VNets, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, DNS, Firewall, Private Endpoints)
• Expertise in Microsoft Entra ID, IAM, RBAC and security controls
• IaC experience using Terraform
• Azure Governance services (Management Groups, Policies, Blueprints, CAF)
• Security architecture, risk management and compliance knowledge

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to understand objectives and transformation goals

We are seeking an experienced Senior Azure Infrastructure Architect with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure Cloud Architecture, Infrastructure Design, Security, Governance, and Enterprise Cloud Transformation. The ideal candidate will play a strategic role in defining and governing cloud architecture standards while partnering with business and technology stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient cloud solutions. This role requires strong leadership, architecture governance, stakeholder management, and hands-on expertise across Azure infrastructure, networking, security, DevOps, and cloud migration initiatives.

What You’ll Do:

• Partner with customer stakeholders to understand business objectives, technical requirements, and transformation goals.
• Define and drive the strategic direction for cloud infrastructure and platform architecture.
• Act as the primary design authority for Azure infrastructure and cloud architecture decisions.
• Evaluate architecture options and provide recommendations aligned with business and technology strategies.
• Develop enterprise cloud architecture standards, reference architectures, and best practices.

• Ensure architecture alignment with enterprise operational, security, and compliance requirements.
• Define cloud security architecture and governance frameworks.
• Collaborate with security teams to establish identity, access management, and data protection strategies.
• Implement and govern Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, access control, and authorization policies.
• Review architecture designs to identify security risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, security frameworks, and organizational policies.

Expertise You’ll Bring:

• 12 to 15 years of experience in Infrastructure Architecture, Cloud Architecture, or Enterprise Infrastructure Engineering.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure Infrastructure and Cloud Architecture.
• Extensive experience designing Azure Landing Zones and enterprise-scale cloud platforms.
• Deep knowledge of Azure Networking Services including Virtual Networks, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, DNS, Azure Firewall, and Private Endpoints.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Entra ID, Identity and Access Management (IAM), RBAC, and security controls.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Expertise in Azure Governance services including Management Groups, Policies, Blueprints, and Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF).
• Strong understanding of enterprise security architecture, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
• Proven experience designing Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and resiliency solutions.
