Job description

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in networking and security.
• CCNA/CCNP (R&S / Security) Certified. Checkpoint certification will be an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, routing, and firewalls.
• Experience in the implementation and support of network and security technologies.
• Experience with troubleshooting network and security issues.
• Thorough knowledge and hands‑on experience of standard firewall features, including routing and VPN.
• Preference for support and maintenance of Checkpoint firewalls; experience with other firewalls such as Cisco, Palo Alto, and Fortigate is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of implementing firewalls with centralized management.
• Ability to understand and design network architecture for a multi‑location environment.
• Ability to gather all required information and size the solution.
• Ability to understand requirements and carry out required firewall configurations.
• Experience with upgrading to major versions and applying hotfixes of firewall OS/firmware.
• Ability to raise support tickets with OEM and work until resolution.
• Experience working within established incident and change‑management processes.
• Knowledge of other cybersecurity solutions is an advantage.
• Always up‑to‑date on new security features and able to suggest adoption and configuration.
• Expected to be a good learner and take responsibility to handle different cybersecurity solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible to travel for implementation activities.
