Role Summary

The Assistant Manager Network & Firewall is responsible for managing, securing, and optimizing enterprise network infrastructure and firewall systems. This role ensures high availability, robust security, and compliance, while supporting business operations and leading a small technical team.

Key Responsibilities

• Network Operations
  • Monitor and manage LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.
  • Ensure network uptime, performance, and scalability.
  • Oversee routine maintenance, upgrades, and capacity planning.
• Firewall & Security Management
  • Configure, monitor, and maintain firewall policies and rules.
  • Implement intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
  • Apply patches and updates to firewall and network devices.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and remediate findings.
• Incident & Change Management
  • Respond to and resolve network and firewall-related incidents.
  • Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues.
  • Manage change requests and ensure successful implementation.
• Compliance & Audit
  • Ensure adherence to IT security policies and regulatory standards.
  • Prepare documentation for internal/external audits.
  • Maintain logs and reports for firewall and network activities.
• Leadership & Collaboration
