Job summary

Plastics For Change is seeking a Senior Associate- Sourcing and Compliance to drive end‑to‑end supplier onboarding, build and maintain ethical sourcing networks, and ensure compliance across the plastics supply chain. The role focuses on enabling traceable, fair, and sustainable material flows through effective vendor management and program delivery.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in plastics, sustainability, waste management or related field.
• Strong supplier management and onboarding capabilities.
• Experience coordinating certifications (WFTO and OBP) and audit readiness.

Responsibilities

• Map, identify, and onboard scrap shops, waste collectors, and aggregators into the sourcing ecosystem.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure quality material supply.
• Source plastic scrap materials including PET, PP, HDPE, and LDPE to meet facility requirements.
• Meet sourcing and onboarding targets within defined timelines and cost parameters.
• Monitor material production, quality, yield, and operational efficiency at the facility.
• Oversee compliance across the facility and supply chain, including EHS and regulatory requirements.
• Lead coordination to obtain WFTO and OBP certifications and manage audit readiness.

Plastics For Change is a purpose-driven social enterprise building ethical, traceable, and inclusive recycling supply chains. The company works with informal waste collectors to formalize recycling systems, ensure fair wages, and create measurable social and environmental impact.

Job Description

Duties and Key Responsibilities

• Map, identify, and onboard scrap shops, waste collectors, and aggregators into the sourcing ecosystem.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure consistent and quality material supply.
• Source plastic scrap materials including PET, PP, HDPE, and LDPE to meet facility requirements.
• Achieve sourcing and onboarding targets within defined timelines and cost parameters.
• Monitor material production, quality, yield, and operational efficiency at the facility.
• Ensure timely pickups and deliveries, while monitoring vehicle maintenance, loading and unloading efficiency, GPS tracking, fuel consumption, and optimized trip planning.
• Plan, implement and monitor social impact and livelihood support programs at all stakeholder levels, ensuring timely execution and measurable impact outcomes.
• Facilitate and monitor the deployment of e-tricycles to waste collectors to improve material collection efficiency and livelihoods.
• Implement and ensure adherence to all statutory, operational, EHS, and customer compliance requirements across the facility and supply chain.
• Lead coordination and documentation to obtain and maintain WFTO and OBP certifications, including audit readiness and compliance closures.
• Oversee machinery maintenance, EHS compliance, administrative requirements, and cost optimization initiatives.

General Responsibilities

• Ensure 100% end-to-end traceability by implementing and monitoring technology adoption across sourcing, logistics, and processing.
• Achieve targeted internal audit scores through continuous monitoring, corrective actions, and process improvements.
• Maintain accurate MIS reports, compliance documentation, and performance dashboards.
• Coordinate with internal teams including operations, finance, quality, and impact teams for seamless execution.

Requirements

Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications

2+ years of experience in the Plastics, Sustainability, Waste management, recycling or any other related field
