Job Description
Role Overview: We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Senior Associate Plant Maintenance to lead shift-level maintenance execution, handle critical breakdown repairs, and maintain equipment reliability across our high-precision battery cell fabrication lines.
Key Responsibilities
- Shift Maintenance & Operations: Lead shift-level maintenance execution to ensure high availability and continuous operation of cell fabrication machinery (e.g., mixers, coaters, slitters, calenders, stackers, dryers, and electrolyte fillers).
- Breakdown & Troubleshooting: Respond rapidly to equipment breakdowns; perform in-depth mechanical, electrical, and PLC/automation troubleshooting to minimize Mean Time to Repair (MTTR).
- Preventive & Predictive Maintenance: Schedule and execute time-based, usage-based, and condition-based Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks using CMMS, ensuring 100% on-time completion.
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Drive structured root cause analysis (5-Why, Fishbone) for recurring or critical equipment failures and implement permanent corrective action plans (CAPA).
- Process Checks & Calibration: Perform periodic verifications of critical machine parameters (speeds, tensions, temperatures, pressures, alignment) to maintain cell quality and production yield.
- Spare Parts Management: Monitor critical spare parts inventory, log daily usage in CMMS, and ensure minimum stock levels for high-wear components.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, cleanroom/dry room environment protocols, and EHS safety guidelines across all maintenance operations.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Education: Diploma or B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
- Experience: 3 to 6 years of hands-on plant maintenance experience in continuous process, automated manufacturing, or electronics/battery cell fabrication plants.
- Technical Expertise:
- Practical knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, motors, drives, sensors, gearboxes, and precision mechanical alignments.
- Hands‑on experience with PLC troubleshooting, panel wiring, and industrial automation controls.
- Strong understanding of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles and Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA).
- CMMS software proficiency, root cause analysis, shift leadership, cleanroom protocol adherence, and multi-disciplinary coordination.
