Agratas – A Tata Enterprise is seeking a Maintenance Electrical Engineer to oversee maintenance, repair, and optimization of electrical systems across Lithium-ion cell manufacturing processes. You will collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure safe, efficient operation of equipment.

Ideal candidates have 8–12 years of experience in relevant industries, strong PLC/robotics skills, and hands-on knowledge of MES/SAP interfaces, vision systems, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 8 to 12 years in Lithium-ion cell manufacturing industry or related sectors.
• Experience with conveyors, stacker cranes, AGV, Vision systems and robotics.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission electrical systems and supervise installation.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults to meet MTTR/MTBF and quality targets.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to integrate electrical systems.
• Optimize control systems to improve machine performance.
• Maintain and update electrical schematics and documentation.

Purpose of the Role

Responsible for Process Equipment & Offline Equipment Maintenance

A Maintenance Electrical Engineer oversees the maintenance, repair, and optimization of electrical systems and equipment to ensure their efficient and reliable operation. This role entails close collaboration with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems into the overall manufacturing processes while ensuring adherence to safety regulations and industry standards.

Key Responsibility Areas

Technical / Functional

• Install and commission electrical systems: Supervise the installation and commissioning of electrical systems to ensure their dependable operation.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults: Diagnose and resolve electrical faults, implementing corrective actions to ensure MTTR ,MTBF and quality targets are met.
• Ensure compliance with codes and standards: Ensure that electrical systems adhere to electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work with engineering and production teams to integrate electrical systems into overall manufacturing processes.
• Optimize system performance: Continuously enhance electrical control systems to boost machine and equipment performance.
• Maintain documentation: Maintain and update documentation and schematics for electrical systems in case of modifications
• Supervise and train team members: Offer guidance and training to technicians and prepare SPLs to help reduce MTTR. Ensure safety protocols are adhered to during all the activities.

Knowledge Generic

Mandatory Desired: 8 to 12 years in Lithium-ion cell manufacturing industry, Warehouse , Bottling plant industries

Prerequires

• In-depth knowledge & Experience in PLC ( SIEMENS, Rockwell), HMI, SERVO, VFD, Robot (Fanuc, ABB or Kuka), VISON System (Keyence and Cognex) Programming & Troubleshooting.
• Deep knowledge of Industrial communication Protocols like Profinet, Ethernet, Profibus, Ether cat
• In-depth knowledge in vision applications (Pattern identification, OCR Detection, Filter implementation on Raw image)
• In-depth Knowledge in Conveyors, Stacker cranes ,AGV,Vision system, precision Dozing, Robotics (Articulated), Fluid Pumping, injectors.

TPM

• Clear Understanding of TPM Concepts.

IT Skills

• Hands on experience in MES/SAP systems.
• Computer Proficiency (MS Excel, Power point).
• Good presentation skills.

Job Context Specific

• Stay updated with industry advancements: Keep up to date with emerging technologies and trends in electrical engineering and manufacturing.
• PM & PDM: Ensure PM, PDM schedules are consistently met while ensuring the effectiveness of PMs. Yearly PM task review & optimization (PM Scrubbing) for ensuring effective use of manpower.
• Cost: Budget preparation for maintenance and ensuring it is being met.
• Spares: Spare ordering and maintaining inventory levels within agreed limits.
• BBQ: Ensuring Backup, Bypass, Quick changeover (BBQ) are maintained in ready for use condition for Constraint machines.

Constraint identification: Identify the constraints at agreed time intervals and take actions to ensure issues are fixed with root cause identification, by identifying and implementing continuous improvements ideas
