Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer for our Tier 1 Automotiv to manage electrical maintenance, PLC-based automation systems, and plant utilities. The candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in troubleshooting electrical breakdowns, preventive maintenance, PLC programming, and maintaining uninterrupted plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Electrical Maintenance

• Carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of industrial electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical panels, motors, drives, control circuits, contactors, relays, and distribution systems.
• Maintain LT panels, MCC panels, PCC panels, transformers, and other electrical installations.
• Ensure minimum equipment downtime and reliable plant operations.
• Maintain electrical maintenance records and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring failures.

2. PLC Automation

• Troubleshoot and maintain PLC-based automation systems.
• Hands-on experience with Delta, Omron, and Siemens PLCs.
• Knowledge of PLC programming, ladder logic, I/O configuration, and fault diagnostics.
• Troubleshoot HMI interfaces, sensors, actuators, VFDs, and control systems.
• Support automation improvements and machine commissioning activities.
• Identify and resolve PLC communication and control-related issues.

3. Utilities Maintenance

• Maintain plant utility systems, including compressors, pumps, cooling systems, and other utility equipment.
• Monitor electrical systems associated with utility operations.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and breakdown rectification to ensure uninterrupted utility supply.
• Maintain utility performance records and support energy-saving initiatives.

4. Safety and Compliance

• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and statutory requirements.
• Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO), permit-to-work, and safe maintenance procedures.
• Ensure the validity and applicability of the required Electrical C License for the assigned work.
• Maintain maintenance documentation, inspection reports, and safety records.

Required Skills

• Valid Electrical C License.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Practical experience with Delta, Omron, and Siemens PLC automation systems.
• Knowledge of VFDs, HMIs, sensors, motors, and industrial control panels.
• Experience in utility equipment maintenance.
• Ability to diagnose electrical and automation breakdowns independently.
• Good problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills.

• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial plant environment.
