Job Description
Purpose of the Role
- Responsible for improving the uptime of plant equipment (non OPE performance) for availability of machine to production.
- Responsible for rollout and implement maintenance techniques of reliability centered maintenance and predictive maintenance to increase the performance and life of equipment.
- Responsible for systematic analyse of repeated machine breakdowns and take PCA to improve MTBF and MTTR.
- To implement the bench marking maintenance standards, equipment processes and TPM.
- To increase the efficiency of PM by upskilling operations and maintenance team.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for improving the uptime of plant equipment (non OPE performance) for availability of machine to production.
- Trouble shooting of PLC operated and CNC machine centers breakdowns with in very stipulated time.
- Systematic analyse of repeated machine breakdowns and take PCA to improve MTBF and MTTR.
- Responsible for rollout and implement reliability centered maintenance to increase machine performance and life.
- Analyse historical downtime data and plan and implement reliability centered maintenance to eliminate issues permanently.
- Responsible for rollout and implement predictive and prescriptive maintenance of plant equipment.
- Analyse historical downtime data and predictive the failures and Time based maintenance for early detection and rectification.
- Responsible to increase the efficiency of PM by upskilling operations and maintenance team.
- Analyse the breakdown between PM and identify the root cause of the issue which is not identified in PM.
- Incorporate failure check point not identified during PM for increase PM efficiency.
- Upskill production and maintenance team on maintenance domain to find out issues during PM.
- Responsible for MFMEA and prepare SOP for breakdowns and PM for each machine.
- Responsible for IATF documentation & auditing, TPM and Best practice implementation
Knowledge in Powertrain Machines Maintenance
- Engine & Gearbox assembly lines with Nut runners, SPM machines, VFD Conveyors, VFD, vision systems & gear box and engine test benches.
- Heat treatment equipment like Sealed quench furnace, shot peening /Shot blasting.
- CNC machines of gear machining shaving, shaping, grinding, laser welding, honing, aluminium housing machining and Robotic washing machines.
- Sound Knowledge in Siemens PLC and Scada Systems & CNC Siemens, Fanuc controller and drives.
- Sound Knowledge in ABB/FANUC/KUKA robots, Rexroth/Atlas Copco nut runners.
- Repairing of electrical and electronics accessories.
Basic Qualifications
- Diploma/Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical & Electronics, Mechatronics)
Preferred Qualifications: 6-10 Years for B.E. / B Tech, / Diploma
- 6-10 Yrs of Experience in Powertrain industries maintenance.
- At least minimum 3 years’ experience in leading shift maintenance in automotive powertrain industries.
- 6-8 Years of Experience in automobile or related industry.

- Reliability & predictive maintenance and PM.
- Programming / Troubleshooting of Siemens PLC and Scada Systems & CNC Siemens, Fanuc controller and drives.
- Troubleshooting of ABB/FANUC/KUKA robots, Rexroth/Atlas Copco nut runners.
- TPM, Lean techniques, MFMEA, SPC, PPAP, OEE, problem solving analysis & techniques.
- SAP, Microsoft office and maintenance management system.
- Industry 4.0, Power BI and AI will be added advantage.
