Job summary

JK Associates in Hyderabad invites an experienced Senior Architect to lead residential projects from concept through site execution. The role requires strong design judgement, technical detailing and hands-on understanding of translating drawings into construction.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in residential architecture, can independently handle projects, and proficiently manage working drawings, coordination with structural/MEP teams and client interactions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional architectural experience.
• Strong experience in residential architecture.
• Excellent command of architectural working drawings and construction detailing.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Working knowledge of SketchUp and/or Revit.

Responsibilities

• Independently handle residential architectural projects from concept development to site execution.
• Develop floor plans, elevations, space planning and architectural design solutions.
• Prepare detailed working drawings, GFC drawings and construction details.
• Coordinate drawings with structural, electrical, plumbing and MEP consultants.
• Review drawings for dimensions, levels, specifications and constructability before release to site.
• Conduct site visits and resolve architectural and technical issues during construction.
• Coordinate with civil engineers, site engineers, contractors, vendors and consultants.
• Interact with clients, present design solutions and manage design revisions.
• Coordinate material, finish and faade selections where required.
• Maintain drawing revisions and project documentation.
• Guide junior architects/draftsmen where required.
• Ensure drawings and design deliverables are completed according to project timelines.

Job description

JK Associates is looking for an experienced Senior Architect who can independently handle residential architectural projects from concept development through working drawings, coordination and site execution.

This is not a drafting-only position. We are looking for someone with strong design judgement, technical detailing, client-handling ability and hands-on understanding of how drawings translate into actual construction.

Candidates who have independently handled premium residences, villas, duplex/triplex homes or similar residential projects will be strongly preferred.

• Coordinate architectural drawings with structural, electrical, plumbing and MEP consultants.

• Experience independently handling projects rather than only assisting a senior architect.
• Strong command of architectural working drawings and construction detailing.
• Excellent proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Working proficiency in SketchUp and/or Revit.
• Strong understanding of RCC residential construction and site execution.
• Ability to coordinate with structural and MEP teams.
• Ability to interact confidently with clients and site teams.
• Willingness to visit project sites across Hyderabad when required.
