Job summary

Jkb Housing in Chennai, India is seeking a creative Architect with 3 to 5 years of experience to support the senior architect from concept to construction drawings and on-site coordination.

You will prepare drawings, 3D models, and presentations, develop layouts, coordinate with structural, MEP and interior teams, research materials and finishes, and ensure documentation is updated and compliant with building codes.

Qualifications

• B.Arch or related field from a recognized institute.
• 3–5 years of experience in architecture.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Lumion, Walkthrough, Photoshop.
• Understanding of design, construction details, and building codes.
• Strong visualization and presentation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• 1. Assist in preparing architectural drawings, 3D models, and presentation materials.
• 2. Support in developing design concepts, layouts, and space planning.
• 3. Prepare working drawings and construction details.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, and interior teams for design integration.
• 4. Maintain project documentation and drawing revisions.
• 5. Research materials, finishes, and building codes.
• 6. Collaborate with vendors, consultants, and contractors as required.

Skills & Competencies:

• 1. B.Arch or related field, from a recognized institution.
• 2. 3-5 years of experience in the same field.
• 3. Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Lumion, Walkthrough and Photoshop. Experience with virtual tools is an added advantage (Eg. Coohom)
• 4. Strong understanding of design principles and building construction.
• 5. Ability to interpret and develop working drawings.
• 6. Good visualization and presentation skills.
• 7. Detail-oriented, creative, and eager to learn.
• 8. Excellent communication and coordination skills.
