Job summary

ED+ Architecture in Chennai, India is seeking a Senior Architect to own projects from design through execution. The role blends design leadership with technical development, documentation, coordination, and on-site involvement.

The ideal candidate has 8–12 years of experience on large-scale commercial, residential, and corporate schemes, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, SketchUp, and other design tools. You will mentor juniors and ensure timely, quality deliverables across disciplines.

Qualifications

• B.Arch or M.Arch from a recognized institution.
• 8–12 years of relevant experience on large-scale commercial, residential, and corporate projects.
• Strong architectural design and design development capabilities.
• Expertise in detailing, construction methods, materials, and site execution.
• Ability to independently identify and resolve design, technical, and site-related issues.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, SketchUp, Photoshop, and InDesign.
• Strong communication, coordination, leadership and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design from concept through detailed design and execution.
• Develop design presentations, working drawings, details, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, engineers, contractors, and internal teams.
• Coordinate integration of architectural, structural, MEP, interiors, landscape, and other disciplines.
• Review drawings, specifications, materials, and technical submissions.
• Use strong construction and site knowledge to identify and resolve design and execution issues.
• Coordinate necessary design revisions arising from site conditions and construction requirements.
• Conduct site visits as required to understand and address execution-related issues.
• Lead and mentor junior architects and ensure timely project deliverables.

We are looking for a Senior Architect who can take ownership of a project across design, technical development, documentation, coordination, and execution.

The role requires strong architectural design capabilities combined with a practical understanding of construction and site execution. The ideal candidate should be able to develop and critique design, resolve technical and site-related challenges, coordinate effectively with consultants and project teams, and drive the project forward in a systematic manner.

This is not a purely design role nor a project coordination role. We are looking for someone who can contribute meaningfully across the entire architectural process—from developing the design to ensuring that it can be effectively translated into construction.
