Job summary

Job description

We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Senior Architect who has experience in an architectural firm and has delivered at least one project from design through execution. The ideal candidate is confident coordinating with MEP and structural consultants, comfortable issuing site instructions, and able to take ownership of a project's design intent as it moves from concept to site. They should be eager to mentor junior team members, contribute strong design judgement, and grow within a collaborative professional studio environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and detailing of projects from concept through working drawings and execution.
• Coordinate closely with MEP and structural consultants to ensure design intent is technically sound and buildable.
• Prepare and issue site instructions, and coordinate with contractors and vendors during execution.
• Develop 3D models and renders necessary for presentations.
• Prepare working drawings and develop details in coordination with vendors and consultants.
• Seek timely discussions and approvals from the founder/Principal Architect before proceeding with the design.
• Provide accurate time estimates for the delivery of design and presentation details.
• Incorporate knowledge of green building practices and materials into the design.
• Maintain up-to-date information on project needs, ensure detailed documentation, and adhere to company ethics.
• Manage the time of the design team and coordinate timely with all stakeholders.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, accessibility and sustainability standards
• Excellent visual, spatial, and design skills
• Strong communication, presentation and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Candidates must be prepared to present their college portfolio and drawings as part of the interview.
