Job summary

JLL is seeking a specialist to resolve queries and conduct comprehensive audits of federal and state labor law compliance across the AMER region. You will extract, analyze, and reconcile data from Workday, supporting governance and process improvements.

The role involves leading quality checks, building knowledgebases, and partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and regulatory compliance among global employees.

Qualifications

• Workday HR environment experience preferred.

What this job involves:

• Resolve queries and transactions related to core HR processes.
• Conduct comprehensive audits of federal and state labor law compliance across AMER region.
• Knowledge of state-specific employment regulations, wage and hour laws.
• Analyze complex business processes to identify control gaps, assess risks, and recommend practical solutions that strengthen operational effectiveness and compliance for global employees.
• Extract, analyze, and reconcile data from Workday including employee records, compensation structures, leave tracking, and benefit enrolments.
• Navigate government portals to verify filing accuracy and retrieve regulatory requirements.
• Working with and assisting global employee/HR users from APAC, EMEA & AMR.
• Perform detailed reviews of processes, controls, and supporting evidence to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established standards.
• Prepare and maintain detailed workpapers documenting procedures performed, evidence reviewed, and conclusions reached, along with control documentation.
• Prepare reports highlighting testing results, identified gaps, and remediation recommendations.
• Assist SME/Sr. SME with building and maintenance of a knowledgebase for business related deliverables and issues that cannot be resolved through self-service.
• Manage multiple assignments simultaneously, effectively prioritizing activities to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality outcomes during peak periods.
• Own end-to-end resolution of complex Tier 1/2 HR cases and partner with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to facilitate discussions, resolve control-related issues, and drive continuous process improvement.
• Lead transition activities for AMER-related HRSS work, including building and maintaining process documentation, SOPs, and knowledgebase content for the expanded scope.
• Independently manage and prioritize expanded case volumes across APAC, EMEA, and AMR, ensuring service levels are maintained through the transition.
• Lead quality checks and audits on AMER-related transactions to ensure compliance with agreed KPIs, KRAs, and SLAs.
• Act as the primary escalation point for complex AMER queries, resolving independently before involving the Manager/SME.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships across the organization to support collaboration, knowledge sharing, and successful execution of governance and compliance initiatives.
• Act as the regional subject matter expert for HR systems, data architecture, and strategy, guiding stakeholders on complex system and data matters.
• Contribute to a culture of accountability, risk awareness, and operational excellence through proactive engagement, effective communication, and sound decision-making.
• Partner with global shared service leads to ensure data governance is upheld across the region
• Drive self-service adoption through AI, chatbots, and other automation initiatives.
• Lead the review, testing, and implementation of HR technology upgrades and new functionality.
• Escalate recurring data quality problems and possible solutions to HRIS/JLLT.

Key Skills

• Experience navigating federal labor department websites and portals.
• Strong understanding of Data Audits and Auditing Standards.
• Demonstrating good understanding of core HR management practices, processes, procedures, and policies.
• Previous experience in Workday HR environment preferred or similar HR ERP desirable.
• Knowledge of Case Management tool ServiceNow/Workday Help is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in audit management and data analytics.
• Proficient/Advanced Knowledge on MS Office Suite skills like Word, Excel, Outlook. Preparing excel/analytical dashboards is an added advantage.
