Job summary

Xactly, part of Vista Equity Partners, is seeking an AI Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team. You will bridge traditional software engineering with AI to design, develop, and deploy scalable AI-powered applications.

Responsibilities include building and deploying AI-driven applications, collaborating with product managers and designers, and ensuring secure, production-ready deployments on cloud platforms. Knowledge of Java or Python and ML frameworks is valued.

About the Role – AI Engineer

In this role, you will be part of a high-performing Engineering team that shapes the future of AI-powered applications. You will bridge traditional software engineering with modern AI capabilities to design, develop, and deploy scalable solutions that solve complex technical problems

What You’ll Do

• Design and Build: Develop and deploy scalable AI-powered applications and solutions aligned with core business needs.
• Collaborate and Innovate: Partner with product managers, architects, and designers to identify opportunities for AI-driven innovation using design thinking principles.
• Drive Quality: Build high-quality, maintainable software systems leveraging AI/ML frameworks such as Transformers, LangChain, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
• Scale and Optimize: Utilize cloud platforms to deploy, monitor, and scale AI applications while ensuring solutions are secure and production-ready.

What We’re Looking For

Must-Have Skills

• Software Development Foundation: Strong proficiency in Java or Python, including coding standards, testing, debugging, and system design.
• AI/ML Expertise: Deep understanding of AI/ML concepts including model development, training, fine-tuning, and evaluation.
• Problem Solving: Strong design thinking and analytical skills with a track record of delivering results in fast-paced environments.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Modern AI Architectures: Experience with LLM-based applications, prompt engineering, RAG, or conversational AI systems.
• Cloud & MLOps: Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and model deployment practices.
