Xactly, backed by Vista Equity Partners, seeks a Senior Accountant in Bangalore to strengthen the global accounting team. You will manage core accounting processes, ensure U.S. GAAP compliance, and support ESG reporting while partnering with stakeholders across regions.

• 5–8 years of core accounting experience in global enterprise software or multinational operations.
• Strong practical knowledge of U.S. GAAP and GL reconciliation.
• Experience preparing journal entries, financial statements, and supporting audits.
• Analytical mindset with ability to navigate financial databases.
• Clear, professional communication across global teams and time zones.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end AP workflows: invoicing, 2/3-way matching, payments, vendor reconciliations.
• Audit and approve T&E, manage corporate card reconciliations, reimburse queries.
• Prepare monthly GL reconciliations and journal entries; track prepaids and fixed assets.
• Oversee month-end close activities and detailed general ledger reporting.
• Support ESG reporting initiatives and collaborate with ESG Program Manager.
• Collaborate with global finance stakeholders across time zones.
• Assist audits and drive process improvements across finance operations.

About The Role – Senior Accountant

In this role, you will be part of a high-performing global accounting team that ensures the integrity and accuracy of Xactly’s financial records. Based in Bangalore, India, and reporting directly to our Accounting Operations Manager (India), you will play a critical role in general ledger accounting, core month-end close workflows, and cross-border financial processes while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement across regions. Additionally, you will support corporate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting initiatives in close collaboration with the ESG Program Manager.

What You’ll Do

• Accounts Payable (AP) Workflows: Lead end-to-end AP operations, including invoice entry and validation, 2-way/3-way matching, payment batch processing, vendor ledger reconciliations, vendor portal management, and resolving complex invoice questions and disputes.
• Travel & Expense (T&E) Workflows: Audit and approve employee expense reports, enforce global travel policies, manage corporate card reconciliations, and resolve employee reimbursement queries.
• Execute Core Accounting Workflows: Prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations, journal entries, and track prepaids, fixed assets, and capitalized software in alignment with U.S. GAAP standards.
• Drive Month-End Close & Reporting: Lead end-to-end month-end close duties, including: Accruals & Reconciliations, ensuring data precision, timely deliverable handoffs, and clear visibility into general ledger account trends.
• Support ESG Reporting Initiatives: Collaborate closely with ESG Program Manager in India to collect, aggregate, and report Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) metrics, supporting global corporate sustainability and reporting requirements.
• Partner Globally Across Time Zones: Collaborate daily with global finance stakeholders and cross-functional teams to streamline business data capture and maintain seamless communication across international operations.
• Support Audits & Process Optimization: Prepare supporting schedules for annual financial audits, identify procedural bottlenecks, and present actionable process improvement solutions to management.

Must-Have Skills

What We’re Looking For

• 5–8 years of core accounting experience, preferably supporting global enterprise software (SaaS) or multinational operations.
• Strong practical working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and standard general ledger reconciliation practices.
• Proven experience preparing journal entries, financial statements, and supporting annual audit compliance.
• Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to navigate complex financial databases and reconcile data discrepancies independently.
• Clear, professional communication skills and English fluency with proven ability to collaborate effectively across global teams and time zones.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) with strong focus on maintaining data integrity

Good-to-Have Skills

• Proficiency in modern ERP systems (e.g., Workday, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and automated T&E platforms (e.g., Ramp, Concur, Navan, etc.).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CA Inter / M.Com a plus).
