About The Role – Accounting Operations Manager

In this role, you will be part of a high-performing global accounting team that ensures the integrity and accuracy of Xactly’s financial records. You will directly manage a 3-person team in Bangalore while driving operational excellence, continuous process optimization, and serving as a primary liaison to US finance leadership.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead & Develop Team: Directly manage, mentor, and elevate a 3-person team in Bangalore (1 AP Analyst, 1 Collections Analyst and 1 Senior Accountant handling a hybrid AP/GL role), fostering operational excellence and high team performance.
  • Accounts Payable Management: Manage end-to-end AP operations, including invoice and purchase order review, 3-way matching, and settlement runs.

  • Travel & Expense (T&E) Workflows: Drive policy enforcement, audit compliance, and automation across employee expense reporting, corporate card spend, and T&E platform administration to optimize reimbursement workflows.
  • Drive Month-End Close & Reporting: Lead month-end close duties for accounts payable, treasury, and GL. Review monthly GL journal entries, oversee balance sheet reconciliations, resolve account discrepancies, and present variance analyses to ensure overall financial accuracy.
  • Partner Globally Across Time Zones: Serve as the primary contact for US finance leadership on operational accounting matters, collaborating daily across global time zones to streamline data capture and maintain operational alignment.
  • Support Audits & Process Optimization: Prepare supporting schedules for annual financial audits, identify procedural bottlenecks, and present actionable process improvement solutions to management.
What We’re Looking For
  • 8+ years of core accounting experience, preferably supporting global enterprise software (SaaS) or multinational operations.
  • 3-4 years of direct people management experience, with a proven track record of developing, coaching, and leading accounting or finance operations teams.
  • Strong practical working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and standard general ledger reconciliation practices.
  • Proven experience preparing journal entries, financial statements, and supporting annual audit compliance.
  • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to navigate complex financial databases and reconcile data discrepancies independently.
  • Clear, professional communication skills and English fluency with proven ability to collaborate effectively across global teams and time zones.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) with strong focus on maintaining data integrity
Good-to-Have Skills
  • Proficiency in modern ERP systems (e.g., Workday, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and automated T&E platforms (e.g., Ramp, Concur, Navan, etc.).
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CA Inter / M.Com a plus).
