Job summary

Microland Limited is seeking a Senior Administrator - Digital Network & Security (NS1) to manage complex network and security infrastructure in Bengaluru. The role emphasizes Cisco routing/switching, Palo Alto firewall policy enforcement, and Zscaler proxy management, with strong collaboration across teams.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Cisco WLAN and network security, including troubleshooting escalations and maintaining documentation for compliance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) and VLANs on Cisco gear.
• Experience with security features on Palo Alto firewalls and NAT policies.
• Knowledge of wireless networks incl. Cisco WLAN operations.
• Familiar with Zscaler proxy and secure internet access.

Responsibilities

• Configure, verify, and troubleshoot routing and switching on Cisco devices.
• Create and manage security rules and NAT policies on Palo Alto devices.
• Troubleshoot wireless networks and assist in configuration changes under supervision.

Configuration and Maintenance of Routing and Switching (Cisco RandS):

Knowledgeable in configuring, verifying, and troubleshooting routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP), VLANs, STP, and Layer 3 interfaces on Cisco switches and routers.

Policy Implementation and Monitoring on Palo Alto Firewalls:

Aware of creating and managing security rules, NAT policies, URL filtering, and Application-ID, along with performing log analysis using Palo Alto Panorama or CLI.

Aware of resolving escalated wireless network issues, performing basic troubleshooting, and supporting configuration changes under supervision, while collaborating with senior engineers to learn advanced Cisco WLAN operations, maintain documentation, and ensure smooth network performance.

Aware of handling escalated cases involving web proxy and secure internet access, assisting in troubleshooting connectivity, authentication, and policy enforcement issues, while collaborating with senior engineers to apply configuration changes, maintain detailed logs, and ensure the secure and efficient operation of Zscaler services.

Communicates clearly, concisely, and professionally across all levels of interaction. Works efficiently within cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless coordination and alignment during issue resolution.
