About the Role
Bajaj Reinforcements Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, statutory compliance, taxation, financial reporting and audit-related activities.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in manufacturing/industrial accounting, excellent knowledge of Tally ERP, GST and TDS compliance, and the capability to independently support monthly/annual closing and Balance Sheet finalisation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Day-to-Day Accounting
- Direct and supervise day-to-day accounting activities and ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchase, sales, expenses, journal entries and bank transactions.
- Review ledger postings, reconciliations and supporting documents for accuracy.
- Maintain proper accounting records in accordance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
- Monitor outstanding receivables/payables and coordinate with relevant departments for timely closure.
2. GST & Taxation Compliance
- Independently handle GST compliance and GST return filing, including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and reconciliation of GST data.
- Ensure proper Input Tax Credit (ITC) reconciliation and identify discrepancies.
- Handle TDS compliance, deduction, payment, return filing and reconciliation.
- Maintain proper documentation and records for statutory compliance.
- Coordinate with consultants/CA for taxation matters, assessments and notices, wherever required.
- Ensure timely compliance with applicable statutory requirements and deadlines.
3. Financial Reporting & Closing
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Handle month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare and review Trial Balance, Profit & Loss Account and Balance Sheet schedules.
- Assist in and independently handle Balance Sheet finalisation.
- Conduct regular bank, ledger, vendor/customer and inter-company reconciliations.
- Identify accounting discrepancies and ensure timely corrective actions.
4. Audit & Compliance
- Ensure accounts and supporting documents are maintained in an audit-ready condition.
- Coordinate with Statutory Auditors, Tax Auditors and internal/external consultants.
- Provide required schedules, reconciliations, ledgers and supporting documents during audits.
- Assist in resolving audit queries and implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting, taxation and statutory requirements.
5. MIS & Management Reporting
- Prepare periodic MIS and financial reports for management review.
- Provide accounting and financial data required for management decision-making.
- Track key financial indicators, outstanding payments/receivables and major expense heads.
- Support budgeting, cost analysis and financial planning activities as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounts, preferably in a manufacturing/industrial organisation.
- Graduate in B.Com / M.Com / equivalent qualification.
- Strong hands-on experience in Tally ERP / Tally Prime.
- Excellent working knowledge of GST and TDS compliance and return filing.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
- Experience in Balance Sheet preparation and finalisation.
- Good knowledge of reconciliation, month-end closing and audit processes.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Excel.
- Experience in handling statutory auditors, tax consultants and government/statutory requirements will be preferred.

Preferred Candidate Profile
Candidates from manufacturing, engineering, industrial, automobile, plastics, construction-materials or other process/manufacturing companies will be preferred.
Candidates should be comfortable working in a hands-on accounting role and should be capable of independently managing accounting, taxation, compliance, closing and audit requirements.
