Job summary
Xactly is seeking a Revenue Accountant in Bangalore to join the global revenue operations and accounting team. You will support daily revenue recognition, deferred revenue schedules, and month-end close under US GAAP ASC 606, collaborating with Billing and Sales to ensure accurate billing and contract data.
Based in Bengaluru, you will gain exposure to the full revenue lifecycle in a fast-paced SaaS environment, contributing to data integrity and cross-functional process improvements.
Qualifications

In this role, you will be an integral member of our global revenue operations and accounting team in Bangalore, supporting Xactly’s Order-to-Cash lifecycle and revenue accounting. Based in Bangalore, India, and reporting directly to our Revenue Accounting Manager in Bangalore, you will primarily focus on daily revenue recognition duties, deferred revenue reconciliations, and month-end close workflows under US GAAP (ASC 606). Additionally, you will partner closely with our Billing Specialist to assist in sales contract creation, order review, and billing setup—gaining broad, hands‑on exposure across the entire revenue lifecycle in a fast‑paced global SaaS environment.
- Execute Daily Revenue Recognition Duties: Support day-to-day SaaS revenue accounting, prepare deferred revenue and unbilled AR schedules, and assist in maintaining compliance with US GAAP and ASC 606 guidelines.
- Support Contract Creation & Billing Workflows: Collaborate directly with our Billing Specialist/Analyst to review sales orders, create customer contracts, and configure accurate billing schedules within enterprise ERP/CRM systems.
- Assist in Month-End Revenue Close: Prepare routine revenue journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and supporting documentation to ensure a smooth and timely month-end close process.
- Drive Data Integrity & Cross-Functional Support: Verify the accuracy of sales terms and contract data, collaborating cross-functionally with Sales Operations, Billing, and US finance team members to resolve entry‑level discrepancies.
- Support Audit & Process Enhancements: Assist in gathering supporting schedules and documentation for external audit requests and contribute to team-wide initiatives to streamline order-to-cash workflows.
- 3–6 years of core accounting experience, ideally with foundational exposure to revenue recognition principles (US GAAP / ASC 606) or billing operations.
- Working knowledge of order-to-cash workflows, contract processing, and general ledger journal entries.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills with an eagerness to learn and grow within SaaS revenue accounting.
- Clear, professional communication skills and English fluency with proven ability to collaborate effectively across global teams and time zones.
- Prior exposure to SaaS, tech, or multi-national shared services environments.
- Hands‑on experience or familiarity with enterprise tools such as Workday ERP, Salesforce, or automated billing/revenue systems.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance (B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance).
