Job summary

Oberoi Realty is seeking a Security Manager to mobilize resources for new sites, design manning plans, and manage contractor agreements. The role includes disaster planning, drills, fire safety procedures, and maintaining security across mall premises, with a focus on surveillance, crowd and traffic control, and stakeholder liaison.

The position requires 2-4 years in real estate plus broader experience, a Graduate & Diploma, and a track record in facility security management.

Qualifications

  • Graduate & Diploma required with understanding of construction facilities and security procedures.
  • Experience to execute the role in a real estate/construction environment.
  • 2-4 years in Real Estate and 7-10 years in any industry.
  • Preference for candidates with security management experience for mall sites.

Responsibilities

  • Mobilize security resources for new sites.
  • Create a plan for number of resources required.
  • Modify existing contracts and approve contracts with security agencies; ensure readiness to meet threats.
  • Provide fires and safety drills and mock drills for all sites.
  • Put in place fire safety manuals and procedures.
  • Prepare a disaster management plan for all sites.
  • Provide differentiated training for various staff levels.
  • Allocate roles and responsibilities in case of disaster.
  • Oversee maintenance of all safety equipment; prevent pilferage/theft.
  • Review site and mall security arrangements; ongoing supervision.
  • Ensure guards are positioned at critical points and report incidents.
  • Suggest improvements to security arrangements.
  • Ensure electronic surveillance of mall premises.
  • Manage traffic and crowd control at mall premises.
  • Document SOPs covering security and safety for construction.
  • Detail hot and entry/exit procedures, working at heights guidelines; manage security agencies.
  • Appoint agencies and prepare contracts; modify as required.
  • Address grievances of guards (e.g., wages).
  • Evaluate agency performance; conduct internal and external security audits.

Role & responsibilities

  • - Provide fires and safety drills and mock drills for all sites
  • - Put in place fire safety manuals and procedures
  • - Prepare a disaster management plan for all sites
  • - Provide differentiated training for various levels of the staff
  • - Allocate roles and responsibilities in case of disaster
  • - Oversee maintenance of all safety equipment at the premises Ensure no incidents of pilferage or theft at the premises
  • - Review security arrangements made at the sites and the mall Ensure the supervision of the security aspects of the premises on an ongoing basis
  • - Ensure guards are positioned at critical points, report any incidents
  • - Provide suggestions for improvements of the arrangement
  • - Ensure electronic surveillance of the mall premises
  • - Ensure traffic and crowd control at the mall premises Document the Standard Operating Procedures for the covering the security and safety aspects of construction
  • - Detail Hot building, Entry Exit procedures, guidelines for working at heights etc Manage Security Agencies that are appointed at various facilities
  • - Appoint appropriate agencies and prepare contracts
  • - Make modifications to contracts as and when required
  • - Address grievances of the guards, e.g. non payment of wages
  • - Evaluate performance of the agencies Conduct regular Internal and External security audits to ensure the upkeep of security standards at the sites and the mall Ensure crowd and traffic management at the mall by planning additional entry and exit points and finalizing traffic movement norms Ensure contractor / retailer compliance with the security requirements at the sites / malls Maintain regular relationships with government department like police, fire services

  • Graduate & Diploma
