Job summary

The India Cements Limited in Tamil Nadu invites a skilled Instrumentation & Automation Engineer to lead maintenance across the plant. You will configure, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems, ensuring reliable operation of field instruments and control systems.

You will manage annual shutdowns, mentor a team, and coordinate with production and OEMs while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in instrumentation and automation maintenance across a plant.
• Strong knowledge of PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems and their integration.
• Ability to manage shutdowns and coordinate with multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead Instrumentation & Automation maintenance activities across the plant.
• Configure, modify, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems.
• Ensure reliable operation of field instruments, analyzers, weigh feeders, and control systems.
• Handle preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of instrumentation equipment.
• Drive process optimization through automation and advanced control strategies.
• Manage annual shutdowns, instrumentation projects, and system upgrades.
• Monitor equipment reliability and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Lead and mentor a team of instrumentation engineers and technicians.
• Coordinate with production, electrical, mechanical, and OEM teams for efficient plant operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and statutory requirements.
