Job summary

Mankind Pharma is seeking an Instrumentation/Automation Engineer to ensure operation, maintenance, and reliability of process instrumentation and automation systems. You will calibrate field instruments, troubleshoot PLC/SCADA/HMI, and support IQ/OQ/PQ for equipment and processes.

The role requires knowledge of GMP, Data Integrity, 21 CFR Part 11, and CSV, plus experience with TPM and Industry 4.0 initiatives. Collaboration across functions will drive continuous improvement in plant reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical or Automation Engineering.
• Experience in PLC/SCADA/HMI troubleshooting.
• Instrumentation calibration & maintenance.
• HVAC and utility systems understanding.
• Qualification & validation (IQ/OQ/PQ).
• CSV and 21 CFR Part 11/data integrity.
• Predictive maintenance and TPM.
• GMP documentation and compliance.
• Industrial IoT and automation systems knowledge.
• Root cause analysis and CAPA management.

Responsibilities

• Ensure operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliability of process instrumentation and automation equipment.
• Calibrate and monitor field instruments (pressure, temperature, flow, level) and control valves.
• Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, SCADA, VFD, and related systems to minimize downtime.
• Support IQ/OQ/PQ activities for equipment and process instruments.
• Plan preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of instrumentation and control systems.
• Oversee pharmaceutical utility systems including HVAC, purified water, air, chillers, boilers, and BMS/EMS.
• Prepare SOPs, calibration records, maintenance docs, change controls, and technical reports per cGMP.
• Ensure GMP, Data Integrity, 21 CFR Part 11, and CSV compliance in engineering activities.
• Drive TPM, energy optimization, reliability improvements and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
• Support audits, inspections, and cross-functional projects for continuous improvement in plant reliability.

Role & responsibilities

• Ensure operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliability of process instrumentation, automation systems, and manufacturing equipment.
• Calibrate, maintain, and monitor field instruments such as pressure, temperature, flow, level transmitters, control valves, and analyzers.
• Troubleshoot and rectify PLC, HMI, SCADA, VFD, and automation-related issues to minimize equipment downtime.
• Support qualification and validation activities (IQ, OQ, PQ) for equipment, utilities, computerized systems, and process instruments.
• Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of instrumentation and control systems.
• Monitor and maintain pharmaceutical utility systems including HVAC, purified water, compressed air, chillers, boilers, and BMS/EMS systems.
• Prepare and review SOPs, calibration records, maintenance documentation, change controls, and technical reports in compliance with cGMP requirements.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, Data Integrity, 21 CFR Part 11, CSV, and regulatory guidelines during all engineering activities.
• Drive TPM, energy optimization, reliability improvement, and Industry 4.0/IoT initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
• Support audits, inspections, and cross-functional projects while ensuring continuous improvement in process control, equipment performance, and plant reliability.
