Job summary

Hatsun Agro Product in Tamil Nadu seeks a Plant Instrumentation Maintenance Engineer to support production with reliable instrumentation and safe operation. You will maintain field instruments, calibrate sensors, and ensure quality control at low cost for smooth plant functioning.

Qualified candidates hold a BE in Instrumentation, Mechanical, or ECE with 2–5 years of relevant experience, and have hands-on knowledge of PLC/SCADA systems (Allen Bradley, Siemens).

Qualifications

• BE in Instrumentation, Mechanical or ECE.
• 2–5 years of experience in plant instrumentation maintenance.
• Experience with PLC/SCADA hardware and field instruments.
• Knowledge of calibration and ISO standards (ISO-17025).

Responsibilities

• Ensure equipment/instruments operate with no deviation in the plant.
• Calibrate instruments as per ISO-17025.
• Monitor CCPs and OPRP equipment/instruments.
• Maintenance and calibration of PLC control panels, field sensors, valves and actuators.
• Troubleshoot PLC/SCADA systems (Allen Bradley, Honeywell, Siemens).

Job description

Job Purpose:

The role holder is responsible for ensuring safety operation in the plant and he support to production team for continuous operation without breakdown. He should maintain the equipment's and instruments in good manner and all quality aspects at low cost for smooth functioning of instrumentation maintenance in our organization.

Principal Accountabilities

Ensure the equipment's / instruments are working properly without deviation in the plant.

All the instruments are to be calibrated as per the ISO standards (ISO-17025).

Continuous monitoring of all the Critical Control Points (CCPs) and Operational Prerequisite Program (OPRP) equipment's / instruments.

Focus on continuous operation and maintenance activity in the plant.

Performing validations (installation and operation qualification) for the equipment.

Installation and commissioning of field instruments like Temperature, pressure, conductivity, pH, flow, level sensors and performing their calibration.

Preparing & reviewing the instrument data sheets.

Maintenance of PLC control panels, Motor operated valves, pneumatic operated Gates and solenoid operated valves

Performing preventive maintenance for field instruments like pressure, temperature, flow etc

Basic Trouble shoot of PLC and SCADA systems (Allen Bradley, Honeywell, Siemens, and delta make)

Limit setting for actuators of valves (Samson, Rotex, dembla, and alfa-laval make).

Maintenance of level and flow sensors etc

Reviewing the basic Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).

Installation/ testing /Commissioning and trouble shooting of PLC control panels.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Educational qualifications: BE (Instrumentation Engg, Mech, ECE).

Relevant experience : 2 to 5 Years.
