Qualifications

• Proficiency in web analytics to track KPIs and report insights.
• Familiarity with major SEO tools (GSC, GA, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz).
• Ability to communicate findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience serving professional services or environmental consulting clients is a plus.
• Remote work capability and ability to manage multiple projects independently.

Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Specialist. The SEO Specialist will be responsible for planning and executing SEO strategies to increase organic visibility and qualified traffic for K2 Consulting Group’s digital properties. Day-to-day tasks include performing keyword research, conducting technical and content SEO audits, optimizing on-page elements, monitoring web analytics, and identifying opportunities for link building. The role involves collaborating with content creators and marketing stakeholders to ensure that SEO best practices are integrated into website content, blog posts, and landing pages. The SEO Specialist will regularly track performance, prepare reports, and recommend data-driven improvements to enhance search rankings and user experience.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Keyword Research and On-Page SEO to identify opportunities and optimize site content.
• Candidates should possess experience in SEO Audits to diagnose technical, structural, and content-related issues affecting search performance.
• Candidates should possess skills in Link Building to develop ethical, high-quality backlink strategies that support authority and rankings.
• Candidates should possess proficiency in Web Analytics to track KPIs, interpret data, and inform ongoing optimization efforts.
• Relevant experience with SEO tools (e.g., Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, or similar) is beneficial.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills, with the ability to communicate findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience optimizing websites in professional services, environmental consulting, or B2B sectors is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines consistently.
• Location: Remote, based in Tamil Nadu, India. Salary: To be discussed.
• MANDATORY: Minimum 4 years of proven SEO experience. An experience letter or verifiable proof of employment must be provided.
• Experience working on SEO for Australian businesses or the Australian market is preferred.
• Technical & local SEO: site speed / Core Web Vitals, schema markup, WordPress, and Google Business Profile / local SEO.
• Content & reporting: ability to write and edit SEO content in fluent English, and build client reports (e.g., Looker Studio).
• AI search optimisation (AEO/GEO): experience optimising content to appear in Google AI Overviews and AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Perplexity, and using AI tools to support keyword research and content.
