Job summary

Rishabh Software in Vadodara seeks an experienced Scrum Master to mentor Agile teams, remove impediments, and protect the team from disruption while fostering high performance.

You will facilitate backlog events, coach across the organization in Agile values, and help transition from waterfall to Agile, enabling faster delivery with transparency.

Qualifications

• Three or more years on a scrum team as a contributor (Developer, Product Owner, QA Engineer)
• Two years as a scrum master
• One or more agile-related certifications (CSM/CSM Advanced/CSP-SM; PSM I-III; CSC; PMI-ACP)
• Experience coaching organizations through transitions from waterfall to agile

Responsibilities

• Serve as subject matter expert on software development methods and processes
• Enable Scrum teams to perform at the highest level by coaching the team, removing impediments, and protecting from disruption
• Organize and facilitate backlog management, daily scrum, sprint reviews, retrospectives, demos and related events
• Monitor and communicate team KPIs/metrics with transparency to stakeholders
• Identify impediments and work with leadership to remove barriers to committed work
• Assist Product Owner with backlog maintenance and information sharing
• Share agile knowledge to maximize team performance and organizational effectiveness
• Coach teams and individuals in collaboration, transparency, iteration, and customer focus
• Create high performing, self-organized teams

Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serve as subject matter expert on software development methods and processes
• Enable the Scrum teams to perform at the highest level by instilling Scrum values, coaching the team, removing impediments, and protecting the team from disruption
• Organize and facilitate team backlog management, daily scrum (standups), sprint reviews, retrospectives, demos and other Scrum-related events
• Monitors, records, and communicates assigned team(s) KPIs/Metrics and ensures transparency regarding team achievements across internal stakeholders
• Identifies and communicates impediments to team achievement to leadership while working to remove any barriers to deliver on committed work
• Assist Product Owner as needed with backlog maintenance, internal and external communication, improving transparency, and disseminating information
• Share Agile knowledge and best practices across the organization to maximize Scrum team performance and effectiveness.
• Coachs teams, individuals and the organization in collaboration, transparency, iteration and being customer focused
• Creates high performing, self-organized teams that can’t wait to get to work each day

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or equivalent

EXPERIENCE:

• Three or more years of working on a scrum team as a contributor (Developer, Product Owner, QA Engineer)
• Two years of experience as a scrum master
• Attainment of one or more agile-related, scrum master focused certifications:
• Scrum Alliance: Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Advanced CSM, Certified Scrum Professional (CSP-SM)
• org: Professional Scrum Master (PSM I-III)
• Other: Certified Scrum Coach (CSC), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP),
• Experience in coaching an organization at any level through the transition from waterfall to an agile framework

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Demonstrable proficiencyin Agile methods, including Scrum and Kanban
• Experience working in an environment where an agile framework was applied at scale
• Experience in a variety of Software Development Life Cycles (waterfall, iterative and agile).
• Comfortable with the implementation and execution of Scrum in an environment where individuals are unfamiliar or uncomfortable with the methodology.
• Experienced facilitator able to apply various techniques to ensure effective meetings both co-located and distributed
• Strong leadership skills and a history of leading through influence.
• Ability to work with diverse personality types.
• Collaborative approach to decision-making on teams.
• Ability to work under limited supervision.
• Ability to help existing leadership understand their changing role

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Experience with Atlassian tools, including JIRA and Confluence.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps
