Job Overview

Join us as a Scrum Master at Barclays, where you'll spearhead the evolution of our digital landscape, driving innovation and excellence. The Agile Scrum Master plays a pivotal role in enabling Agile delivery across teams and ensuring adherence to Scrum principles.

Responsibilities

1. Facilitate Agile ceremonies and workshops, ensuring they are productive and timeboxed.
2. Support iteration execution, maintain backlog refinement, and incorporate stakeholder feedback.
3. Optimize flow by identifying and removing impediments that impact team productivity, using metrics to drive improvement.
4. Mitigate risks by identifying, escalating, and managing potential issues, protecting the squad from interruptions.
5. Build high‑performing teams: coach Agile attributes, foster collaboration, and provide in‑the‑moment leadership.
6. Manage stakeholder relationships, facilitating collaboration among business stakeholders, product teams, and vendors.
7. Governance and reporting: ensure data quality and represent the team at required governance forums.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and Lean principles.
• Proficiency with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, and reporting dashboards.
• Knowledge of metrics (velocity, burn‑down charts) and backlog refinement techniques.
• Strong facilitation skills for Agile ceremonies and workshops.
• Servant‑leader mindset to empower teams and foster collaboration.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to manage senior stakeholders.
• Ability to influence across technical and business teams.
• Capability to identify root causes of delivery challenges and implement solutions.
• Data‑driven insights for continuous improvement.
• Scrum Master Certification (Scrum Alliance or Scrum.org) is highly valued.
• Experience in financial services or large‑scale technology projects is advantageous.
• Familiarity with risk management and governance processes.
