  • Manage referrals to external mental health professionals when specialist support is required.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential session records to ensure continuity of care and inform school planning.

Key Responsibilities:
Orientation Programs
  • Conduct orientation sessions for parents across Primary, Middle, High, and Higher Secondary levels.
  • Facilitate teacher orientations on counselling services, referral procedures, and classroom mental health strategies.
  • Lead student orientations (Classes 312) on counselling, confidentiality, and help-seeking processes.
Counselling Services
  • Provide individual counselling to address academic, emotional, social, and behavioural concerns.
  • Conduct group counselling sessions on peer support, social skills, grief, exam stress, and study planning.
  • Offer parent consultations focused on student concerns, referrals, and home-school collaboration.
  • Deliver staff counselling and consultation for both student-related issues and staff well-being.
  • Manage referrals to external mental health professionals when specialist support is required.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential session records to ensure continuity of care and inform school planning.
Mental Health Initiatives
  • Organize workshops for teachers, administrative staff, housekeeping, and technical staff.
  • Conduct age-appropriate workshops for students (Classes 3-12).
  • Implement regular mental health check-ins for Classes 912.
  • Coordinate awareness events such as World Mental Health Day and ongoing campaigns.
  • Design and execute need-based interventions aligned with student needs and school priorities.
Academic & Exam Support
  • Lead the Aspire & Gear Up Program for Classes 10 and 12, focusing on exam readiness, stress management, study planning, and coping strategies.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Prepare reports for Term 1, Term 2, Term 3, and the Annual Report.
  • Document mental health initiatives, including World Mental Health Day celebrations.
Qualification Requirements
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in Psychology (Clinical, Counselling, Applied, Educational)
  • Master’s in Social Work (Mental Health/Counselling)
