Job summary

Sage Technologies is seeking an experienced SAP PPQM Consultant to implement and support SAP PP and QM modules in manufacturing environments. The role emphasizes Variant Configuration (VC) mastery and strong integration with MM, SD, FI, and PM to optimize production and quality processes.

The ideal candidate will lead configuration efforts, collaborate with ABAP for RICEFW, and conduct training and post-Go Live support in a dynamic manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as SAP PPQM Consultant.
• 2 end-to-end SAP PP/QM implementations.
• Strong VC expertise for complex manufacturing products.
• Knowledge of S/4HANA and ASAP/Activate.

Responsibilities

• Design and configure SAP PP processes (BOMs, routings, work centers, production orders, MRP).
• Implement and manage Variant Configuration models and dependencies.
• Configure QM processes: inspection plans, quality notifications, batch management.
• Ensure integration with MM, SD, FI, and PM.
• Participate in implementation lifecycle (blueprinting, testing, training, Go-Live).
• Collaborate with ABAP team on RICEFW development.
• Conduct user training and post-Go Live support.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP PPQM Consultant with strong expertise in Variant Configuration (VC) and deep knowledge of the Manufacturing domain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting SAP PP (Production Planning) and QM (Quality Management) modules to streamline manufacturing processes and ensure product quality compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• SAP PP Configuration: Design and configure production planning processes including BOMs, routings, work centers, production orders, and MRP.
• Variant Configuration: Implement and manage VC models, characteristics, dependencies, and pricing integration for complex manufacturing scenarios.
• SAP QM Processes: Configure inspection plans, quality notifications, results recording, and certificate management.
• Integration: Ensure seamless integration with MM, SD, FI, and PM modules.
• Manufacturing Domain Expertise: Apply industry best practices to optimize shop floor operations, production scheduling, and quality control.
• Implementation Lifecycle: Participate in requirement gathering, blueprinting, configuration, testing, training, and Go-Live support.
• RICEFW Development: Collaborate with ABAP team to develop functional specifications for reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms.
• User Training & Support: Conduct workshops, prepare documentation, and provide post-Go Live support.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience as SAP PPQM Consultant with at least 2 end-to-end implementations.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Variant Configuration (VC) for complex manufacturing products.
• In-depth knowledge of Production Planning (PP) processes: MRP, capacity planning, shop floor control.
• Solid experience in Quality Management (QM) processes: inspection lots, quality notifications, and batch management.
• Exposure to Manufacturing industry (Automobile, Engineering, or Discrete Manufacturing preferred).
• Familiarity with S/4HANA environment and ASAP/Activate methodology.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP PP/QM certification.
• Experience in cross-module integration with MM, SD, and FI.
• Knowledge of data migration tools (LSMW, LTMC).
• Ability to handle custom developments and enhancements.
