Job summary

GSR Business Services in Chennai is seeking an experienced SAP PP/QM consultant to independently gather requirements, test functionality, and configure SAP across MM, SD, and WM integrations. You will drive production planning and quality management improvements in a global context.

The role requires two full SAP implementations, strong data management of BOMs, routings, and master data, plus excellent communication to coordinate with international stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 58 years of experience in SAP Production Planning (PP) and Quality Management (QM).
• End-to-End Implementations: At least two full-cycle SAP implementations completed, demonstrating expertise in project lifecycles.
• Strong understanding of Demand Management, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Make-to-Order (MTO) and Make-to-Stock (MTS) processes.
• Integration Knowledge: Strong understanding of integration between SAP modules (e.g., MM, SD, WM, and FI/CO) is preferred.
• WM/Handling Unit Management: Experience with Warehouse Management (WM) and Handling Unit Management (HUM) is an advantage.
• Technical and Functional Skills: Demonstrated ability to design, configure, and test SAP PP functionality.
• Solid understanding of business processes related to Production Planning and Quality Management.
• Ability to document and deliver business process flows and functional specifications.

Key Qualifications:

Mandatory Qualifications and Experience:

SAP PP/QM Expertise: Minimum of 58 years of experience in SAP Production Planning (PP) and Quality Management (QM).

End-to-End Implementations: At least two full-cycle SAP implementations completed, demonstrating expertise in project lifecycles.

Core Functional Knowledge:

Strong understanding of Demand Management, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Make-to-Order (MTO) and Make-to-Stock (MTS) processes.

Expertise in handling Planned Orders, Production Orders, and Master Data (including Bill of Materials, Work Centers, Routing and Production version etc.).

Proven experience with Discrete Manufacturing processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

Integration Knowledge: Strong understanding of integration between SAP modules (e.g., MM, SD, WM, and FI/CO) is preferred.

WM/Handling Unit Management: Experience with Warehouse Management (WM) and Handling Unit Management (HUM) is an advantage.
