Job summary

Lakme in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Salon Operations Manager to oversee daily operations, manage staff, and ensure service excellence.

You will drive marketing activities, promotions, and customer loyalty while monitoring KPIs such as footfall and average bill value. The role is based in a busy salon setting, with responsibilities spanning operational, sales, and growth initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Operate daily salon activities including opening/closing, appointments, and staff rostering.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and safety, including tool sterilization.
• Manage inventory, stock orders for products, retail and consumables.
• Oversee billing, POS, cash closing, expense reporting, and equipment servicing.
• Plan local promotions and loyalty programs; track KPIs like client footfall and average bill value.

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:1. Operations & AdministrationManage day-to-day salon operations - opening/closing, appointments, staff rosteringEnsure cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards (tools sterilization, sanitization)Manage inventory, stock ordering of products, retail, and consumablesHandle billing, POS, daily cash closing, and expense reportingMaintain salon equipment and coordinate servicing

2. Team ManagementRecruit, train, and supervise stylists, therapists, front desk, and housekeeping staffSet performance targets, conduct appraisals, motivate teamSchedule shifts and manage attendance/leaveConduct product knowledge and customer service training

3. Customer Service & SalesEnsure excellent customer service and handle client complaints/feedbackBuild strong client relationships to increase retention and re-bookingUpsell salon services, memberships, packages, and retail productsAchieve monthly revenue and retail sales targets

4. Marketing & GrowthPlan and execute local promotions, offers, and loyalty programsManage Google reviews, social media queries, and online reputationCoordinate with marketing team for campaigns and eventsTrack KPIs: client footfall, average bill value, staff productivity
