Job summary

My Tiles in Bengaluru is seeking a motivated Salesperson for an on-site, full-time role. You will engage with walk-in and scheduled customers, understand flooring needs, demonstrate products, prepare quotations, negotiate prices, and close sales to meet store targets.

You'll maintain product displays, update inventory, coordinate with warehouse and delivery teams, and follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and foster repeat business.

The Salesperson will engage with walk-in and scheduled customers, understand their flooring and tiling needs, and recommend suitable products and solutions. Daily responsibilities include product demonstrations, preparing quotations, negotiating prices within company guidelines, and closing sales to meet individual and store targets. The role also involves maintaining product displays, updating inventory information, coordinating with warehouse and delivery teams, and following up with customers to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business. The Salesperson will document all interactions in the sales system, support promotional campaigns, and provide feedback to management on market trends and customer preferences.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills, with the ability to understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Sales and negotiation capabilities, including experience meeting targets, handling objections, and closing deals in a retail or showroom environment.
• Effective communication skills in English and local languages, with clear presentation and active listening abilities.
• Basic numerical and computer skills to prepare quotations, process billing, and update sales records accurately.
• Knowledge or interest in tiles, flooring, interior design, or building materials; prior experience in a similar industry is an advantage.
• Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru, stand for extended periods, and manage multiple customers and tasks during peak hours.
• Team-oriented mindset, reliability, and a proactive approach to learning product details and supporting store operations.
• Minimum high school diploma; a graduate degree in business, marketing, or a related field is a plus.
