Job summary

ZEISS India is seeking an ophthalmology-focused sales professional to cover a designated region in India. You will meet ophthalmologists and opticians regularly to drive revenue and align with team goals, while coordinating with sales colleagues across locations to grow hospital retail channel revenues.

The role requires a science/ pharmacy/optometry degree and 3-7 years of pharmaceutical/healthcare sales experience, with ophthalmology exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• The candidate must be a graduate in science, pharmacy, or optometry with a strong track record.
• 3-7 years of previous successful sales experience in the Pharmaceutical / Healthcare Industry is required. (Optical/Ophthalmology industry preferred)

Responsibilities

• Meet ophthalmologists and opticians regularly to achieve revenue budgets.
• Collaborate with sales teams to generate revenues in Hospital Retail Channel.
• Carry out customer/market development efforts with line managers.

Job description

The incumbent is responsible for the designated region in order to meet ophthalmologists on a regular basis and accomplish revenue objectives in line with team/organizational goals. Meet the company's call average and ophthalmology coverage requirements in the designated region.

Main Accountabilities:

• Accountable for assigned territory, meeting ophthalmologists and opticians on a regular basis, and meeting revenue budgets in line with team/organizational goals.
• Collaborate with sales teams from various locations to generate revenues in the Hospital Retail Channel.
• Carry out customer/market development efforts in collaboration with line managers.

Key Result Areas:

• Manage and continually updates a client base of consultant ophthalmologists, institutions, and hospitals, and review the list to improve the business.
• Conduct product conversations with ophthalmologists, as well as consumer education, retail audits, and monitor distributor
• Implement the company's marketing strategies on a regular basis, thereby meeting sales targets and product volume budgets.
• Meets the company's call average and ophthalmology criteria in the designated region.
• Adhere to reporting procedures, work schedules, and budgets in order to maximize sales and establish efficient sales processes.
