Job summary

Vertiv Group Corporation in India is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex installation projects from IKOM/CKOM through FAT and site handover. You will coordinate with Sales, Product, Engineering, SIOP, Logistics, and Finance to align scope, schedule, and risk management.

The role requires organizing customer meetings, documenting communication matrices, and ensuring timely billing and documentation.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Establish CKOM with customer; present scope and plan and align stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with SIOP, factory, sourcing, and external panel integration for battery bank procurement.
  • Monitor production progress and ensure timely completion of units.
  • Coordinate FAT/SAT with main customer, consultant, and end customer.
  • Oversee dispatch, billing approvals, and project documentation handover.
  • Provide weekly progress reports and manage changes/risks throughout the lifecycle.

Job description

knowledge of

The Project Manager is expected to review all project details and arrange an IKOM with internal stakeholders. Key stakeholders include:

  • Sales
  • Product Team
  • Engineering Team
  • SIOP
  • Logistics
  • Finance

Step 3: Customer Kick-Off Meeting (CKOM)

After completion of IKOM, the Project Manager should establish communication with the customer and arrange a CKOM. During this meeting, the PM must:

  • Present the overall project scope and plan
  • Align all stakeholders on a common understanding

Key elements to be established include:

  • Communication matrix
  • Reporting formats
  • Turnaround Time (TAT) for delivery and service
  • Drawing submission and approval timelines

Step 4: Manufacturing & Dispatch Coordination

The Project Manager is responsible for:

  • Coordinating with SIOP, factory, and sourcing teams ( including external panel integration and battery bank procurement activity ) based on customer demand and lot size
  • Monitoring production progress to ensure timely completion of all units
  • Coordinating with the customer for Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) visit, this includes participation from the main customer, consultant, and End customer(e.g., government bodies like MMRDA)
  • Ensuring closure of all punch points post-FAT
  • Obtaining billing, dispatch, and clearance approvals from customer
  • Overseeing timely and safe dispatch of equipment to site

The same process should also be followed for battery bank delivery etc.

Step 5: Installation, Commissioning & Project Closure

Upon delivery at site, the Project Manager must:

  • Coordinate with the Regional Service Manager to deploy the service team based on site readiness and customer clearance
  • Share weekly progress reports with all stakeholders
  • Facilitate the following tests:
    • PAT (Power Acceptance Test)– & ensure closure of punch points (generally performed by main customer & consultant )
    • SAT (Site Acceptance Test)– & ensure final acceptance and closure (generally performed by main customer & consultant & end customer )

Additionally, the PM must ensure:

  • Submission and handover of all project documentation (test certificates, warranty certificates, user manuals, etc.) by service team
  • Timely billing of services executed by service team
  • Monitoring and managing change orders, risks, and issues throughout the project lifecycle. present a management level review presentation for the overall review of complete project portfolio..
