Weekday AI (YC W21) is hiring a field sales professional to drive coatings-related business in Mumbai and other listed locations. The role offers a salary range of Rs 5,00,000 – Rs 6,00,000 per year and is a full-time position.

You will identify new customers, manage key accounts, and meet sales targets while coordinating with production and logistics to ensure timely order fulfillment. Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in direct to metal and epoxy paints sales.
• Ability to present coatings products and negotiate contracts.
• Strong CRM and pipeline management skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business in target industries.
• Manage and grow key accounts with high retention.
• Hit monthly/quarterly/annual sales targets.
• Conduct product presentations and technical demonstrations.
• Coordinate with technical teams to resolve customer issues.
• Prepare quotations, pricing, and contracts within margins.
• Maintain sales pipeline, forecasts, and CRM records.
• Collect customer feedback for product improvement.
• Ensure timely collections and manage receivables.
• Coordinate with production/logistics for orders.

Requirements

• Identify and develop new business in target industries (fabrication, automotive components, appliances, furniture, architectural, oil & gas, etc.)
• Manage and grow existing key accounts, ensuring repeat business and high customer retention
• Achieve monthly/quarterly/annual sales targets and volume/value goals
• Conduct product presentations and technical demonstrations for coating applications
• Coordinate with technical/application teams to resolve customer issues (adhesion, finish quality, curing, color matching)
• Prepare and negotiate quotations, pricing, and contracts within approved margins
• Maintain accurate sales pipeline, forecasts, and CRM records
• Collect and process customer feedback for product improvement
• Ensure timely collections and manage outstanding receivables
• Coordinate with production/logistics for order fulfilment and delivery schedules
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
