Job summary

Safran in Bengaluru is seeking a Billing & Collections Specialist to manage end-to-end invoicing processes. You will gather project data, ensure contract terms and pricing are reflected in invoices, and coordinate with finance and project teams to resolve discrepancies.

You will monitor accounts receivable, follow up on payments with internal sales representatives, and visit customers to resolve disputes. You will also compile bank guarantee requirements and manage guarantees in collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in purchase or supply chain management.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in billing, collections, supply chain and logistics.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in Tally and MS Excel.
• Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with credit risk assessment and mitigation strategies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate billing plan by gathering project data to generate invoices.
• Ensure invoices comply with contracts, pricing, milestones, POs and policies.
• Collaborate with finance and project teams to resolve invoicing discrepancies.
• Coordinate with stores/delivery to submit supporting documents with invoices.

• Maintain records of collection efforts and customer interactions.
• Compile bank guarantee requirements and coordinate with finance.
• Manage bank guarantees and track expiring guarantees with ISRs.

Job description

• Prepare accurate billing plan (Gather and verify project-related data from project/internal teams) to generate accurate invoices.
• Ensure invoices comply with contract terms, pricing structures, milestone billing, purchaser order and company policies.
• Work closely with finance and project teams to resolve any discrepancies before invoicing.
• Coordinate with stores/delivery teams to create in other supporting documents which needs to be submitted with invoice including logistics.

Collections Management:

• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up for payments with internal sale representative (ISRs).
• Ensure key actions items are being implemented
• Visit customer place to resolve disputes in coordination with ISRs
• Maintain detailed records of collection efforts and customer interactions.

Bank Guarantee Issuance:

• Compile the list of Bank Guarantee requirements and provide it to the Finance Manager
• Collect the Bank guarantee from Finance manager and deliver it to customers or to internal project/sales teams.
• Maintain the tracker of the Bank Guarantee requests received.
• Coordinate with ISRs on collecting back expired Bank Guarantees.
