Job summary

Adani Group in India is seeking an experienced Billing & Invoicing professional to manage customer billing cycles, milestone-based invoicing, and revenue realization across projects.

You will coordinate with Sales, CRM, and Finance, ensure GST compliance, maintain accurate billing records in ERP/CRM, and support collections to improve cash flow.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years of billing, invoicing, collections, or receivables experience.
• Real estate/infrastructure sector experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of billing cycles and revenue realization.
• MBA/PGDM preferred; certifications in Finance/ERP advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Generate invoices, demand letters, receipts, and debit/credit notes per agreements.
• Ensure accurate pricing, taxes, discounts, and payment plans before invoicing.
• Process milestone-based billing aligned with project progress.
• Maintain billing records in ERP and CRM systems.
• Monitor receivables and coordinate with Sales, CRM, and Finance for collections.
• Resolve billing discrepancies and customer queries related to invoices.
• Ensure GST compliance and proper documentation.
• Prepare MIS reports on billing status and collections.
• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Project teams.

Responsibilities

Billing & Invoice Management

• Generate customer demand letters, invoices, payment schedules, receipts, credit notes, and debit notes as per sales agreements and project milestones.
• Ensure accurate computation of unit pricing, taxes, discounts, and payment plans before invoice generation.
• Process milestone-based billing in line with construction progress and contractual terms.
• Maintain accurate customer billing records in ERP and CRM systems.

Receivables & Collection Support

• Monitor customer payment schedules and outstanding receivables.
• Coordinate with CRM, Sales, and Finance teams for timely collection of dues.
• Track overdue accounts and initiate follow-ups to improve collection efficiency.
• Support achievement of project cash-flow and revenue realization targets.

Customer Account Management

• Reconcile customer ledgers and ensure proper allocation of customer payments.
• Resolve billing discrepancies and address customer queries related to invoices, payments, and account statements.
• Maintain updated records of customer transactions and payment histories.

Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure billing processes comply with applicable statutory regulations, GST requirements, and company policies.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation related to customer billing and transactions.
• Support internal and external audits by providing billing records and reconciliations.
• Ensure adherence to financial controls and process governance standards.

MIS & Reporting

• Prepare and publish periodic MIS reports on billing status, collections, receivables, and customer accounts.
• Analyze billing and collection performance to identify trends and areas of improvement.
• Provide management dashboards and reports for business reviews.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Collaborate with Sales, CRM, Finance, Legal, and Project teams for smooth execution of billing activities.
• Coordinate with banks, financial institutions, and channel partners for payment processing and account reconciliations.
• Participate in process improvement and automation initiatives related to billing operations.

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• MBA / PGDM in Finance, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
• Professional certifications in Finance, Accounting, GST, or ERP systems will be an added advantage.

Experience

• 3-7 years of experience in billing, invoicing, collections, receivables management, CRM billing, or finance operations.
• Prior experience in the real estate, construction, infrastructure, or property development sector preferred.
• Strong understanding of customer billing cycles, payment plans, and revenue realization processes.
