Job description

1. Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, and environmental(HSE) laws, regulations, and companypolicies.

2. Conduct regular workplace safetyinspections and identify potential hazards.

3. Recommend and implement corrective andpreventive actions to eliminate unsafe conditions and practices.

4. Develop, implement, and monitor safetyprocedures, standards, and work instructions.

5. Conduct safety induction training for newemployees, contractors, and visitors.

6. Organize regular safety trainingsessions, toolbox talks, and awareness programs.

7. Monitor the proper use of personalprotective equipment (PPE) and ensure availability.

8. Investigate workplace accidents,incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed investigation reports.

9. Maintain records of safety inspections,incidents, training, audits, and statutory compliance.

10. Conduct risk assessments and Job SafetyAnalysis (JSA) for various work activities.

11. Monitor high-risk activities such asworking at height, confined space entry, hot work, lifting operations, andelectrical work.

12. Ensure emergency preparedness by conductingmock drills and maintaining emergency response plans.

13. Coordinate with emergency response teams,medical personnel, and external agencies when required.

14. Inspect firefighting equipment, emergencyexits, first aid facilities, and other safety systems regularly.

15. Promote a positive safety culture throughemployee engagement and continuous improvement initiatives.

16. Participate in internal and external safetyaudits and ensure timely closure of audit findings.

17. Monitor contractor safety performance andensure compliance with site safety requirements.

18. Review safety permits and ensure workpermit systems are followed correctly.

19. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly safetyreports for management.

20. Assist management in achievingorganizational health, safety, and environmental objectives.

21. Stop any unsafe work or activity thatposes an immediate risk to people, property, or the environment.

22. Ensure proper housekeeping standards aremaintained throughout the workplace.

23. Monitor environmental controls related towaste management, pollution prevention, and spill response where applicable.

24. Stay updated with changes in safetyregulations, industry standards, and best practices.

25. Support continuous improvement by recommending measures to enhanceworkplace safety and reduce operational risks.

Requirements

o Experience: 2 to5 Years

o Qualification:

1. Engineering graduate with two years’experience and Diploma in Industrial Safety

2. Alternatively, Bachelor of Science/ Diplomain Engineering with 5 years’ experience and Diploma in Industrial Safety

5-Day Work Week.
