Job summary

Hyosungtndindia is seeking a Diploma-qualified Safety Officer to monitor and enforce on-site safety practices. You will ensure proper PPE use, conduct toolbox talks, and oversee safety during lifting, electrical work, and work at height. Maintain housekeeping and daily safety records while reporting incidents to supervisors.

The role requires vigilance, coordination with the Safety team, and participation in emergency and fire safety activities to protect personnel on site.

Qualifications

• Must have basic safety awareness and ability to enforce PPE usage on site.
• Ability to conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Capable of monitoring lifting, electrical, and height-related works for safety.
• Experience in reporting accidents and near misses to supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Monitor safety practices at the project site.
• Ensure workers use proper PPE such as helmet, safety shoes, gloves, etc.
• Check the site regularly for unsafe conditions and unsafe practices.
• Ensure workers follow site safety rules and instructions.
• Monitor safety during lifting, electrical work, working at height, welding, and other site activities.
• Maintain proper housekeeping at the work site.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety awareness for workers.
• Report accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions to the Safety Officer/Supervisor.
• Ensure proper barricading, warning signs, and safe access at the site.
• Assist in emergency and fire safety activities.
• Monitor contractor and worker compliance with safety requirements.
• Maintain daily safety inspection/checklist records.
• Immediately report any serious safety violation to the concerned supervisor.
• Perform other safety-related duties assigned by the Project/Safety team.
