Job Summary

Position: Safety and Skill Trainer. Location: Navi Mumbai, India. Employment Type: Full-time.

Role Overview

As a Safety and Skill Trainer at Elite Offshore, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training sessions on safety protocols, technical skills, and compliance requirements for offshore and maritime personnel. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our trainees are fully equipped with the knowledge and hands-on experience needed for safe and efficient offshore operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Training Programs: Conduct comprehensive safety and skill training sessions, both theoretical and practical, for offshore personnel, including welders, fitters, deck officers, and riggers.
  • Ensure training covers key areas like Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), emergency response, equipment handling, and technical skills relevant to offshore operations.
  • Develop Training Materials: Design, update, and maintain training materials, presentations, and manuals in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Tailor training content to meet the specific needs of clients and trainees, ensuring maximum engagement and retention.
  • Hands-on Skill Assessment: Provide hands-on training for various offshore activities, ensuring trainees can apply learned skills in real-world scenarios.
  • Evaluate the skill levels of trainees through assessments, simulations, and exercises to ensure competency in key tasks.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure that all training programs meet the guidelines and regulations set by authorities like the DG Shipping and industry bodies.
  • Regularly update training modules to reflect the latest safety regulations, industry best practices, and technological advancements.
  • Monitor and Report: Track trainee performance and progress, providing feedback to both trainees and management.
  • Prepare and submit reports on training outcomes, trainee evaluations, and improvement areas.
  • Promote a Safety Culture: Encourage a safety-first mindset among trainees, reinforcing the importance of safe practices in all offshore operations.
  • Serve as a role model for safe behavior and compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Proven experience as a safety trainer or skill trainer in the offshore or maritime industry.
  • Certification in relevant offshore safety training, such as OPITO, BOSIET, or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience in offshore operations, including knowledge of safety regulations, risk management, and emergency response.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to design and deliver engaging training programs to diverse groups of trainees.
Preferred
  • Experience working on offshore platforms, rigs, or vessels.
  • Prior teaching or instructional experience in technical skills or safety training.
