Elite Offshore Pvt Ltd is seeking experienced Deck Officers for anchor handling supervision and related marine operations offshore. Location is Mumbai High region with postings on various barges. The contract is 2–3 months, mid to end Sept start, reporting to ONGC and non-Marine officer status.

Applicants must hold Second Mate (FG/NCV) with valid CDC/COC, HUET and STCW certificates, and have at least 2 years of watchkeeping on-board experience. Medical fitness is required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Second Mate (FG/NCV) certificate issued by DG Shipping or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years on-board experience as independent watchkeeping officer.
  • Valid CDC and STCW certificates, with COC and CDC valid throughout deployment.
  • HUET and other mandatory offshore certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Review marine spread anchor patterns before approval by the company.
  • On-site monitoring and supervision of anchor handling operations as per policy.
  • Witnessing anchor tests and surveys (holding capacity, in-position, post-installation).
  • Ensure compliance with Anchor Handling Policy 2011 and ONGC manuals.
  • Report anchor positions and safety concerns to ONGC.
  • Oversee anchor patterns on-site and propose adjustments to ONGC as needed.
  • Monitor execution of approved anchor-handling plans for safety and compliance.
  • Supervise safe anchoring of barges and submit weekly anchor-position reports.

Elite Offshore Pvt Ltd is seeking experienced Deck Officers to join our team for anchor handling supervision and related marine operations. This position involves working closely with marine spreads and ensuring compliance with anchor handling policies during offshore operations. Responsibilities


  • Reviewing marine spread anchor patterns before approval by the company.

  • On-site monitoring and supervision of anchor handling operations as per GCC clause 10.6.1.

  • Witnessing anchor holding capacity tests, in-position surveys, and post-installation surveys.

  • Ensuring compliance with Anchor Handling Policy 2011 and ONGC's Marine Operational Manual.

  • Reporting anchor positions, ensuring safety during anchoring, and handling any violations or anchor drags promptly.

  • Oversee and review anchor patterns on-site, proposing adjustments to ONGC when necessary.

  • Monitor the execution of approved anchor-handling plans, ensuring compliance and safety during operations.

  • Supervise the safe anchoring of barges when not engaged in active operations and submit weekly reports on anchor positions.

  • Ensure full compliance with ONGC's Anchor Handling Policy 2011 and the Marine Operations Manual.

  • Report any anchor drags, violations, or safety concerns to ONGC immediately.

  • Assist in any additional tasks as required for improving the safety and efficiency of offshore operations.

  • Place of posting: Mumbai High region.

  • Duration: 2 to 3 months (fair weather employment).

  • Commencement: Mid to End Sept.

  • Misc: You will be placed as non-Marine officer, reporting to ONGC, hence no sea time applicable.

  • Age: Preferably below 60 with medical fitness certificate. People below 65 may apply, subject to medical fitness.


Requirements


  • Certificate of Competency: Minimum of Second Mate (Foreign Going (F.G.) or Near Coastal Vessel (NCV)), issued by DG Shipping or an equivalent certificate endorsed by DG Shipping.

  • Experience: At least 2 years of on-board experience as an independent watchkeeping officer.

  • Possess a valid Indian Continuous Discharge Certificate (CDC) and all relevant STCW certificates.

  • Ensure the validity of Certificate of Competency (COC) and CDC throughout the deployment period.

  • Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET) and other mandatory offshore certifications.
