Job summary

Neilsoft in Pune invites a Mechanical Engineer - Rotating Equipment with 3-5 years of experience in detailed engineering for pumps, compressors, turbines. You will interact with clients, prepare specs, perform design calculations, and review vendor offers.

BE/B.Tech in Mechanical is required. Knowledge of rotating equipment standards (API, ASME, IS) and ability to deliver within budget and schedule is expected. This is an on-site role based in Pune.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical is required.
• Experience in pharmaceutical/chemical plant projects preferred.
• Strong communication and client interaction skills.

Responsibilities

• Interact with clients and internal departments to identify engineering and design requirements.
• Prepare specifications for various rotating equipment & packages.
• Perform engineering design calculations.
• Knowledge about selection of equipment.
• Evaluate vendor offers for pumps based on pump curves and information from vendors.
• Prepare BOM and technical reports.
• Knowledge of equipment layout, plot plans, P&IDs, and material selection per process conditions.
• Proposal preparation & man-hour estimation.

Required Skills & Experience:

• A) Technical Skills Required:-
• 1. Experience in detailed engineering consultancy is preferred. Experience in design side of mechanical / technical services department of Pharmaceutical / fine chemical petrochemical, fertilizer, agrochemical plant is preferred.
• 2. Experience in FEED, proposal , detail engineering activities of rotating equipment ( pumps / compressors / turbines ) and packages ( utilities / process plant packages,)
• 3. Preparation of design basis, technical requisitions, vendor offer review & technical bid evaluation.
• 2. Shall be able to do Engineering and Design for rotary equipment Agitators, compressors, pumps, blowers, ATFD etc
• 3. VDR for packages ( Utility & process equipment )
• 3. Familiar with relevant codes & standard for rotating equipment like - API, IS, ASTM, ANSI,ASME, NFPA, ASHRAE etc

B) Job Description:-
